Our Physicians
J. Albert Diaz, M.D.
Dr.
Diaz joined Othopaedic Specialists of Connecticut in 1998 from the Minneapolis
Sports Medicine Center where he completed a fellowship in Sports
Medicine. In Minneapolis, Dr. Diaz served as assistant team physician
for the Minnesota Vikings football team and the Minnesota Timberwolves
basketball team.
Dr. Diaz completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery
at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City. He is a graduate
of the Tulane University School of Medicine and received a Bachelor
of Arts degree from Dartmouth College.
Dr.Diaz is board certified and is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He also serves as a consultant reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Diaz's C.V.
Daniel N. Fish, M.D.
Dr.
Fish joined Othopaedic Specialists of Connecticut in 1993, after completing
a Harvard Medical School fellowship in sports medicine where he
worked as an assistant team physician for the New England Patriots
and the Boston Bruins.
Dr. Fish's experience in sports medicine began during his internship
and four-year residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University
of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he worked with the school's Division
I athletic teams.
He received his undergraduate degree fromSt. Lawrence University
and earned his medical degree from the University of Rochester.
Along with being published in numerous medical journals, Dr. Fish
is a consultant reviewer for the American Journal of Sports Medicine
and the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. He is also a member of
the American Medical Association, a Fellow of the American Academy
of Orthopedic Surgeons, and is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery.
Dr. Fish offers the latest innovations in orthopedics including advanced arthroscopic techniques as well as minimally invasive surgery of the hip and knee. He currently serves as a member of the Danbury Hospital Executive Committee and the Medical Advisory Board of the Danbury Surgical Center.

Dr. Fish's C.V.
Sanjay K. Gupta, M.D.
Sanjay K Gupta, M.D. joined Othopaedic Specialists of Connecticut in 2006 after completing a two year fellowship in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at the Hospital for Special surgery and at Lenox Hill Hospital, New York under C S Ranawat, M.D. At Lenox Hill Hospital, he won the best paper award for research primarily concerned with hip replacement in the young.
He received his medical degree from Pondicherry, India. His Basic Surgical Training, Orthopedic residency and Masters in Orthopedic Engineering were obtained at University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, United Kingdom. During this time he was awarded one of the best research papers at Welsh Orthopedic Society for two consecutive years. He was also awarded the Sir John Charnley and the Ethicon Foundation Traveling Fellowship in joint replacement. He has published in numerous medical journals and has presented to various international orthopedic forums.
He is a Fellow of the Intercollegiate Specialty Board in the United Kingdom where he is Board certified in Trauma and Orthopedic Surgery. His clinical interest is in treating hip and knee arthritis in all age groups, minimally invasive total joint replacement, and revision hip and knee replacement. He is one of the few Orthopedic surgeons who specialize in hip resurfacing in the State of Connecticut.

Dr. Gupta's C.V.
Thomas P. Nipper, M.D.
Dr.
Nipper, the practice's senior orthopedic surgeon, earned his undergraduate
degree from Manhattan College in New York and his medical degree
from Loyola University of Chicago. He completed his postgraduate
training in surgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York.
During a four-year orthopedic surgery training program at Duke University
Medical Center in North Carolina, Dr. Nipper served as both Assistant
Resident and Chief Resident of Orthopedic Surgery.
Although Dr. Nipper works in all areas of orthopedics, he specializes
in hand surgery and is an active member of the American Association
for Hand Surgery. He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery, is
a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners, a Fellow
of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the American
Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.
Dr.Nipper is the New Project Chairman for Orthopedics and the Vice Chairman of Surgery at the Danbury Hospital, where he was previously the Chief of Orthopedic Surgery.

Lydia Ozonoff, PA-C
Lydia joined Othopaedic Specialists of Connecticut in 2005. She graduated from Boston University with a BS in Biology and Sociology. She holds a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. Lydia worked as a Physician Assistant at Boston Medical Center in Cardio Thoracic Surgery.
Physical Therapy Staff
Mark Augustauskas, M.S., P.T.
Mark graduated from Quinnipiac University, Hamden CT, with a B.S./M.S. in Physical Therapy. He has practiced in orthopedic medicine and manual therapy techniques for 28 years. At OSC, he continues to offer expertise in manual therapy, general sports medicine, and the rehabilitation of the throwing athlete.
Ana Cario, P.T.
Ana graduated from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. For 22 years, she has practiced in all aspects of rehabilitation, with a particular emphasis in orthopedic/ neurologic/myofascial pain patients and amputees. Her diverse training has made her especially valuable in the care of those orthopedic patients with complicating secondary diagnoses. Ana is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
Joanne Duncanson, P.T.
Joanne graduated from Northeastern University, Boston, MA, with a B.S. in Physical Therapy. She has 15 years of experience working in a variety of settings, but with an emphasis in manual therapy techniques for the orthopedic/sports medicine patient.
Pam Lehman, M.A., P.T., L.A.T.C.
Pam is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT with a B.S. in Physical Therapy/Sports Medicine and an M.A. in Education. She has practiced locally for 22 years, offering expertise in Dance/Sports Medicine and Orthopedics. Prior to coming to OSC, Pam was a volunteer at the USOTC, Colorado Springs, CO and the Company Therapist for the American Ballet Theatre, NY. She continues to practice the emphasis of manual therapy techniques for orthopedic patients and in the areas of sports and dance medicine.
